My website literally costs $8.50 a month (At Digital Ocean), unless you are someone famous it is really rude to use other people’s credits for medium posting really light reading, and then I don’t paywall posts to other readers. When I say famous I mean like a celebrity, or Joe Biden posting on medium which I read. Medium is $5.00 a month and I literally gained chump change from it. Twitter subscribers is a better way for authors to make money right now.
But locking articles behind a million paywalls, that would require a proquest search at the library to overcome hyperlinked-text for lazy people I would appreciate people not paywalling “click-bait”.
